so I copied and pasted every thing from the 3700 shift points tune, on to my stock tune last night.Loaded it into my truck this mourning and it ran great shift really good at part throttle seems to work fine, but at wot it gets up to 3700 rpms and it wont shift it just stays at 3700 rpms.I think I know why? but im not an expert at this. I could not figure how to turn off or remove these ({D5081} "Base Desired 1->2 Shift Time, With TRQ Red" tables.) They were not in the 3700 shift points tune, does any one know how to shut them off or remove them,or if this even is my problem? I attached the tune if any one wants take a look. Thanks

you for got to change you MPH shift points as well. the MPH need to lower then the rpm limt or you will hit the limit and not shift.. kinda like hitting a rev limiter. need to back the MPH down a a couble mph till it shifts.

i calculate the rough speed you will be going with the current 32" dia tires in your sig. sould give you a good starting point.
the tables are D5020-D5023 wot shift speed tables
1-2 ~30mph current is 20mph
2-3 ~50mph current is 37mph
3-4 ~65mph current is 51-53 pend t/h setting
4-5 ~92mph current is 76mph

well im trying backing it down a bit, the numbers you were seeing were kiolomoters per hour. but its still might be a good theory. neens is also right because the ecm would only let it rev to 3600 rpm. i will try again and see if it works any better.

Neens I read in another post you had a really good trans tune, i was wondering if you would share it with me.I'm getting it worked out on my own ,but its kinda scary as i really dont know all that much about tuning. I also have nothing to compare my tuning to, and test driving is kinda getting pricey these days:( I hope u dont mind me asking:) thanks.

I changed my tune to Torque and RPM Limit Req Disabled and it solved an old problem i had, on the mcrat race tune when it shifted at part throttle it would choke or sputter maybe even lurch a little but it doesnt do this anymore and seems to shift smooth and firm. do you think this is ok for the trans? seems fine to me but i've just heard so much many diffrent opinions. Also can someone tell me how to tell if the defuel is turned on or off.

The only TCM stuff I've really played with is on my 6 speed, haven't tried anything with our LB7...

I have mine set at RPM Limit Req Disabled...That solved a WOT issue I was having...

I'm finding out that diffrent ecm tunes really affect the shifting diffrently even when u have the same tcm tuning. for instance when i run mcrats tune with Torque and RPM Limit Req Disabled it shifts really smooth and i tried it with another race tune today and it wasnt so great 2nd to 3rd rpms would really shoot up inbetween shift. not so good fornthe tranny imo. Neens Im think im gettin this trans tune stuff kinda figured out.I just really wanted another tune to compare what i was doing. What exactly does torque Limit Req Disabled control?

Thanks neens will look in to that. Last one i am havin the same problem you are. I guess we just have to keep changing tables untill we are happy with what we got. I sure that is what everyone else has done.
