Best I've ever got was running in the flats across Nebraska in my first 02 CC lb7 with 265 on pyo's Hand calculated was 22mpg running 72 mph the whole time. My 07 lbz with the 245's would only get 19mpg even though my display said 23mpg. This lly gets the same as my lbz did with the mods it has. I will agree with MikeL, your drunk if your getting mid 20's for mileage. Either that or your going down hill on a complete tank of fuel.

Its apples and oranges;

A Canadian gallon of water weighs 10 lb which is the same as 4.535 kg. The American gallon is equivalent to 3.786 litres, and since 1 litre of water weighs 1 kg, an American gallon of water weighs 3.786 kg. Obviously, the Canadian gallon is the larger.

The ratio is 1 gal(CAN) = 4.535 / 3.786 = 1.198 gal (US). Rounding this off to 3 significant figures, we find 1 gal(CAN) = 1.20 gal(US).

The DIC is in US gallons, not metric.
If i measure in metric it will be L/100km, which was 7.2L/100km on this trip on the DIC
If i measure in US it's US gallons

My 06 LBZ would get between 24-25on long trips running 70 with PPE's first 225 tune for the LBZ's back in 06 Hand calculated. Then I got their updated tune and it would only get 20-22:confused:. My wifes 07 LBZ will get 21 on long trips but it is nice and broke in with 110k on it. Averaged 19.0 Hand calculated from farmington NM to Veags then to Cali with some city driving to go visit Dan, Mike and go to Disney Land then to PHX and home. Drive speeds were between 70-85. Have synthetic fluids all the way around and seem to help a little. Just my 2 cents

I guess I'm lucky as I have gotten hand calculated milage of 19 driving 100% around town stop and go short trip driving before. I consistently get 20 or better on the highway, but normally get 21-22 running 70-75 as I don't have a well behaved right foot for that long. And I have seen a shade over 23 out of her before. I was hoping actually for a bit better out of her as the 6.5 with 3.42 gears would break 20 as my 4.10 gears would get 18 on the highway with the old wore out 6.5. I need to put the BURB on a diet as she's still a pretty heavy boat coming in right at 7,000. Towing is another story though as that is the double edge sword of the 3.42 gears. With my travel trailer hitched up I was getting 10 at 70 which was a bit disapointing as i was hoping for closer to 12-13.

I could care less about MPG's I care more about smiles per gallon.

25mpg on a LBZ Nemesis? Yeah. :roflmao:

Even with a truck lowered on the floor with stock PYO's and 245's my LBZ never got above 22, let alone a stock height truck that weighs more. ;)

I don't care too much about mpg's either but it's it's interesting to see what these things can do. I have a fast truck, a tow beast, now I needed a different challenge lol. I'm sure I'll never get 25mpg over a whole tank, if I can average 20 that would be pretty sweet

I feel pretty confident I could get over 20 mpg in my truck if I were to take a trip on the interstate and not stop until I needed fuel. I got a little over 19 a couple of months ago when I took a trip up to Oklahoma running highways going through little towns and having to stop there. That was with my 20" wheels.

Getting over 20 on a tank should be very possible. I got 19.2 MPG hand-calculated once back when I had my smaller 285/75R16's, but it was under ideal conditions. With the tiny stock tires, I would think 20+ would be easy on level ground.

Now that I have 315/70R17's, I'm lucky to get 17...

I've seen 25mpg (24.8 iirc). GPS verified / hand calculated. This was on 245's aired up to 80psi, some weight removed, tuning and mods. Driving style was a max of 65mph, very slow acceleration, highway driving. Only a few stop and go's. I usually operate in the low 20's, that was just to see what I could get trying everything I could think of and driving like a bitch.

My speedo is also dead on with my gps. I'm running small tires, 295/45R20. They are 30.5", same diameter as a 245/75R16. 2" wider though.

I'm not here to have a pissin match but that what the truck got.265's 65-70 mph. Premium equipment diesl, cetane addative and injector lube and standard bolt ons.Not out to impress no one just saying what the best mpg I got was.

Anyone can get good mpg on one tank. Check 3 or 4 tanks in a row and tell me your average, thats your mpg. Mine sucks by the way, 16 and that's trying to get good mpg. I need a new mpg tune!
