Pulling away from a stop in a driveway, foot on brake, trans in D, there were three rapid fire surges of power over 1-2 seconds. it was if the throttle was pressed 3 times quickly with immediate throttle response. RPMs did not raise excessively but there was enough power applied that even with the brakes engaged the truck moved forward a touch with each surge.

2008 LMM basically stock, 99k miles, no recent service performed other than an oil change.

Thoughts on possible causes?

This was the one and only time I had experienced this. Ill keep an eye on it and report back if it occurs again.

What might be other symptoms if any of a failing pressure regulator?

Since the rapid fire surges, the truck seams to have more power. It's like a restriction somewhere got released. Any thoughts as to what it may be and is this a good thing or is something like the FPR failing?
