I have searched and read lots of good info on cal tracs vs long bar, drag racing vs pulling but all the threads are on 4wd trucks. Stop me if I'm wrong but will a longer bar give you more front end lift ie.. weight transfer in a 2wd? The truck is race only so ride is of no concern and I love to shave weight but a little more in this area could be a plus. Anyone have any tips?

You could probably use a longer bar on a 2wd than you could a 4wd, and still achieve anti-squat, because of the lower center of gravity. But I don't think it would be that much longer. On a race-only truck, I vote 4-link!

caltracs.... i ran a dodge 2wd shortbed with them at numidia and he hooked good...just run a straight angle on the bar and you'll be good.

Long bar or short it doesnt matter , then angle of the bar dictates the Intsant center height , aka anti squat / weight transfer , the reason short bard are used more is the length of the bar make it easier to achieve a sharper anlge on the bar , and yes in a 2wd a long style bar would probably work decent pending you have a decent slick .

This is my current (street legal) tire.

It hooks well with the rear end now locked. Just trying to shave some time off the 60'.

Does anyone recomend a long bar from a vendor or is this a fab job?
