Could you order a 2500hd Duramax with out the g80? My truck has always been a one tire wounder and I was checking my codes in my glove box today and don't see a g80 code

I'm glad I don't have a g80. It's going to be an air locker soon though.

I've been wanting to go 4:10's so I was gonna do both at once, but once again been ****ing off with it, I'm really dreading pulling the front diff and tearing it down, might just look for a gasser 9.25" with 4:10's already in it.

Pretty much where I'm at. I don't want to do it twice so I'd rather rebuild, regear and locker all at once.

I just love the predictability of a spool, you can always count on that thing to spin both. May slide alot but you always know it's gonna do it. Obviously not for everyone but a lincoln locker fits nicely into my budget.

I can get a whole aam dodge 11.5 with brakes for 400 is it worth just swapping the hole rear end

Not any easy swap. Carrier is the same by the whole housing is a bit wider and perches for springs have to be narrowed a bit. Stock wheels do not fit over the axle hubs, and stock hub caps won't work because studshe are different size

The gasser front diff isn't as stout as the ones in Duramax trucks.

What's different? Only thing that could be different is the axle splines? If that's the case I'll tear mine down, just haven't messed with one yet so I k ow it'll take forever and 5 trips to town.
