Not sure if this is in the right area but I'm looking at getting a tow rig for my Jeep so I can build it from a mix use Jeep to a trail machine. Anyways what are the differences between the 2500HD dmax & the 3500HD dmax srw? Is it all suspension? Is it worth the extra $$$ if I'm only towing a few times a month? Im looking at the 2011's by the way.

MI, NC, now Hawaii
i have towed a Dmax ready to go pulling at about 8500lbs plus tools and weights in my truck and the trailer. and was doing 100mph on the highway  i think 2500 will be fine for a jeep.

Pardon me for saying so John, but your truck minds it. Its squatting pretty good. Thats looks like a lot of tongueweight.

My crazy brother-in-law hauls his skidsteer in a dumptrailer with his 97 2500, but he installed 3500 springs and loads the trailer over/behind the wheels for balance.

To the OP, I think a 2500hd is enough. A lot will depend on total weight, how you load the Jeep on the trailer and how you balance the load out.

Well I test drove the LML today. All I can say is wow! it rides better than my Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited. It had so much power and on the interstate test drive at 70mph I reset the evic and I was getting 22mpg. This truck will be tough to beat. I am going to test drive the f250 just to make sure. They are running 0% for 60 months this month at GM though and that is great.
