Yeah, that’s what I was referring to. I remember reading years ago to NEVER leave your truck in the “ON” position without it running as it was very hard on some component and could “burn it out”, can’t remember what component it was though. Is that not the case on these trucks? It’s good to hear you did it for three hours on your truck, I’ve done it in other gas GM vehicles and the thing would barely start after 20 minutes. I hadn’t tried to see how long this truck would go for the reason stated above. Thanks for posting your experience, maybe I’ll try it.

In older cars with breaker points style ignition, you could burn out the ballast resistor if the points were closed and the ignition was left on for long periods. I don't think this is an issue with modern electronic ignition systems other than normal battery drain from any accessories.

Well regardless of when it comes out, I installed a derringer and pedal monster yesterday with idash to hold me over until then. After a 30 minute drive on different levels, it’s pretty freaking impressive for an in-line tuner with emissions in tact. Seat dyno says 100HP/200Ft/lbs at crank feels about right

becareful, it will kill the trans in a hurry. it also derates to stock power when towing during the summer.

id be curious if the surging or strange converter locking starts happening on yours. you should have the newest firmware and i wonder if they tried to knock that out. lots of people had issues with that. I thought it was just me and the aftermarket converter i had. Mine still has some in tow/haul not NEAR as bad as the derringer made it.

If it kills the trans I can just take it out and drop truck at dealer right?

There are shifting problems with the new 10 speed along with GM and Ford. Some of the shifts are so hard, people are worying they will brake a drive shaft under tow. The law suits are starting big time.

I wish they'd put the 9-speed Allison in and drop the Ford 10-speed slushbox...

Just my experience but I haven’t had a hard shift in the 22,300 miles I’ve driven the truck. Also so far loving this derringer. I’m running around on Level 4 and Pedal Monster on City Level 6. I’ll report back after I tow with it, which will be level 3.

stock is great, only complaints i hear are with the derringer/pedal monster. Let me know how it does! like i was saying, i have a feeling the new firmware update may have fixed this.

I double checked and the firmware is up to date on both according to their website.
