I dont see them needing an upgrade to the engine right now. Just because another make some adjustments or something doesn't mean that the Duramax is now no longer competitive

GM and Ford are preparing for a hybrid. Engines won't need higher tq ratings as the electric motors will take care of that.

Now that I can see

but right now at least for trucks it still seems to be "new" technology and until it matures I think having a truck lineup that is still the same is a good idea

If they where smart, they would have both available and slowly phase out the old and not all at once

No upgrade on the Duramax diesel will turn out to be a big misstake. RAM HD will show a upgraded Cummins at NAIAS in less than four weeks and that engine will be turning heads. With block in CGI. Stunning torque, and GM has no plans to respond.

Yes, they do... I've been asked not to share anymore but I will say they are going back to a Garret turbo...:hello:

Like I said on the other thread, High Country looks like a whole different truck

Square wheel wells suck.... Although it doesn’t annoy me as much with the plastic trim. And they don’t appear to be 90* corners like the previous truck, they look like the classic to me.

I agree, absolutely nothing wrong with square wheel wells. Why do they have to be round like all the other manufacturers? Our heads are round but the windows are square. Wheels are round but many of them feature squared openings in the design. Unless you’re machining parts to fit precisely, a round peg doesn’t necessarily need a round hole. . . . .

And for me, round wheel wells only look right with a small selection of tire sizes. Wareas square accommodates many more and still looks good.

Good for gm that some of you liked that look. I don’t and nothing is changing that:rofl:

The truck above doesn’t have the same square wheel wells as the previous model, not sure what some of you are looking at? Is there a better pic somewhere?

Ya, that’s not to bad:thumb: I really struggled to like the previous truck, it doesn’t bother me as much now. The new one looks much better.
