So I decided I wanted to trade in my 2018 Black Silverado High Country 2500 HD to get a 2020 High Country or a Denali 2500 HD . Yesterday on my lunch brake I test drove a 2020 Sierra SLT 2500 HD 10 SPD at a GMC dealership, I test drove it hard with the salesman on board . Put it in 4H and floored it from a dig and from idle , I was not impressed to say the least, with the performance from a dead stop anyway . The truck has some nice new technology and new body style but 80K for it I think not . After work I went and test drove a 2019 Silverado High Country 2500 HD 6 SPD with no salesman , I put it in 4H and floored it from a dead stop and idle , my Butt Dyno told me it launched harder and performed better than the 2020 10 SPD and for 10K less . The 10 SPD SHIFTED ALMOST SEAMLESSLY and super smooth . The performance going from 60 or 70 already then stomping it seemed the same from truck to truck . Will all that said I opted for the 2019 that was totally loaded for $ 61,200 instead of paying in the high 70s for a 2020 . To me the 2019!looks better and smoother.
