Damn I hate sounding like a snot faced little twat and with that said....

How do those that own an L5P in general feel about them? I'm gonna go test drive one... it's time to upgrade. 2100rpm on the highway with an S475 is getting to be a little much... Fu.ck I'm getting old

Ha ha I feel ya 53 here and a 68 with a 5” pipe , I test drive one, I like the feel and comfort compared to my 11, but I’m missing that right foot feel.
Probably gonna keep my 11 and down size to turbo and exhaust and save the mortgage payments to double up on the home mortgage

I don't own one but the two I've drove are amazing. I'd own one if I had the money

Drive my 17 everyday hauling a 8k gooseneck in Orlando Florida traffic
Personally I love it as a hauler but I still prefer my 05 because it feels like a car after driving the work rig :roflmao:

That said... If I had the $$ I would upgrade for sure just for reliability but I will never sell my 05 just going to be a dedicated race truck one day

I didn't even make it to 40 before I called the ball and bought a stock truck. I couldn't stand not having a modded truck so I built a half ton bc they are cheaper... Lol..

Mines not an l5p but I love my 16...:coolspot:

Can’t drive mine enough (5000 mi.) I haven’t had a 2500 for a few years. Can’t believe the power and comfort. Big $$$ but ya can’t take it with ya.

Love mine also, 48k miles and haven't had a single problem.. Tows awesome for a stock truck and the interior is a step up from my 11 model.. I do miss not being able to tune my truck though for sure..

Hate my 17. 3500 miles on it been to gm 5 times for various issues. If it wasn't for the issues though it would be a great truck, power is good & mileage has been really good so far.

I would take my 15 back in a heartbeat though.

They tow very well. I’ve towed up to 23,000. They are heavier. Mine weighs in at 8400 full of fuel and has a toolbox on it. Fuel mileage is good if you drive it easier than I drive. Power wise was a step backwards for me so that takes getting use to.

Just picked up my 2018 High Country yesterday and drove it to my hometown for Christmas. Anybody else notice the howl noise at about 85 and up ? Almost sounds like an old school Quadrajet carb when the back 2 barrels open up . It only does it at those speeds and only if your still into the throttle . If I ease out of the throttle and just maintain the 85 and up speed it doesn’t do it .

Only noise I have is the one I mentioned other than that it’s great

The other noises associated usually don’t come until after the first oil change. The deceleration noise is a hit and miss. It is not Constant. It is related to tuning. Pretty good trucks but they are not perfect.

The DEF injector is annoying for sure
At idle in drive it sounds like a ticking time bone lol
All 4 of our new trucks do it
The deceleration noise is temperamental sometimes you hear sometimes you don’t
Only concern I have is apparently people are getting injectors replaced before 100k Miles
Guess when they get close we will get em checked out :D
