I just figured I'd start a tread on this since I never heard of one of these trucks. Today went past my local dealer and sitting right out front is a blue 2017 l5p and right on the side of the bed it said Alaskan.

Has anyone seen these. From what I seen doing a search they're supposed to come with a stainless v plow. It is leveled and has aggressive mud tires. I'll try to stop tomorrow and get a few pictures.

It's not leveled and it doesn't come with a plow.

Simply go to Chevrolet.com and it will tell you everything you want to know about it.

The package includes,

Alaskan Bear graphics on rear quarter panel and tailgate
Smoked Amber roof marker lights and beacon
Spray-in bedliner with concept raised “Alaskan” text
18" black aluminum wheels
Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac tires
Snow Plow Prep Package

Has anyone seen a Carhartt edition in person? Just spotted one in the back ground of the Alaskan in Sema pictures. They look really nice.

I seen the Carhartt edition at the Detroit auto show. Im personally not very attracted to special edition trucks but this was very cool looking in person. Had a crowd around it the whole time I was there.

I don't think it was for sale, just to look at.

Are the Auxiliary switches part of the Alaskan package? Haven't seen them or noticed them on the other trims.

I was wrong. All the press releases and even the package details do not say anything about the upfitter switches being included in the package, however, in the depths of the Chevrolet website I did find something that stated the upfitter switches were part of the package. I am surprised that it isn't stated as being part of the package on Chevys build and price. I did notice that the upfitter switches are on the build and price separately now, so that's nice!

the upfitter switches are a cab/chassis work truck thing. Has nothing to do with the so called "alaska edition".

And no, you cant put them on the nicer LT/LTZ trucks because those up-level trucks already have switches there for adjustable pedals, lane departure warning, park assist, etc...
