So has anyone else noticed the tick at idle when in drive?
As soon as you give it fuel it stops...
Sounds almost like the def injector in the exhaust?
Idiots on another Fourm are saying its the "typewriter" tick but it's not that and I only had 1 duramax have that problem out of 5 :thumb:
I'll be digging into it once I get someone I trust in the driver seat while I'm under it on the rack

*Tick at idle and lite throttle
*down shifts like it's in T/H mode all the time (bet MPG would increase with this fixed)
*throttle so sensitive that @ 5-30mph the jerk feel is a tad annoying on/off throttle .
*havent pinned this one down yet (thinking converter un locking, I'll scan it some day when I have time)..., when braking steady, almost feels like brakes release a little around 10-15mph 2/1 down shift area, and need to apply brakes harder. Sometimes feel like a bump from behind when it does its thing..

Love the truck though, just need some fine tune work. Figure I'll give GM a year, then take it in for a flash if nobody has broken into the ECM by then.

This is mpg on a 2016 chevy 2500 crew 4x4 z71 with a six speed Allison Transmission 60-65 mph. Wonder if the new 2017 model with the 8 speed is any better?

A little... I'm really happy with my L5P. I came from a 16 LML...

LOL, that mileage was recorded today. I was traveling west on the stretch of I-44 between Springfield, MO and Joplin, MO. It has to be a fluke, I recorded that same trip in early January and the best 25mi MPG was only 21.2. Was the wind coming out of the south east today?

This truck rarely gets highway miles which is the only reason I was paying attention to the DIC. I'm wondering WTF was going on with those numbers. Most of my driving is in town and mileage usually sticks around 16-19.

I do love this truck though!

Awesome! Congrats, keep up with it and it'll last you a very long time. Remember, inform GM with all your concerns. Happy upcoming Easter

Hooked to a trailer I Love it!
Unhooked just driving around it definitely has some unusual shift patterns:confused:
It will be nice to see what you and Mike come up with in your Laboratories to enhance this thing!:thumb:

Out of pure curiosity (and im not even sure if its been posted yet), anyone know if the firing order is still the same or did they change it?

Who else hates the shifting on these? This truck shifts terrible!
If you hate it it's because your not using the truck for what it was made for...... PULLING it's an animal towing. Yea I've been wanting this exact shift strategy for a long time..... finally got it

That's what the tow haul button is for...... No reason for normal mode shifting to be retarded.

I can understand what people don't like about it with normal driving. I guess I drive just aggressive enough not to notice
