I am about to pull the trigger on my first diesel and cannot wait!! I need some advice....I have narrowed it down to 2.....2016 LTZ with 13K miles or a 2017 LT with 21.5K. I have read horror stories about the CP4 on lml but am also hesitant on the first gen L5P. I plan to leave it stock and will mainly be used to pull my travel trailer and future 5th wheel.

I am leaning toward the L5P but want to make the right choice. any advice would be appreciated

Thanks!

If you are going to leave it stock, buy the L5P. I love my LML, but the love was never going to be there stock.

i went through the same scenario when i bought my last one, found a 17 that was all i wanted and loved it , BUT i need loud exhaust and cant leave anything stock either so i went with the 16. Like above said, if she is going to stay stock get the L5P

L5p for sure I'd say. I had a 17 model and put 60k miles on it basically with zero problems. They run excellent for a stock truck..

L5P, no question. A stock L5P will run with a 60-75hp tuned lml. The midrange power and responsiveness of the l5p is awesome. Spool is nearly instantaneous.
