Question: 2016 duramax exhaust

I am new to this app and forum but I have a general question if someone could help. I just purchased a 2016 Silverado 2500 diesel, I wanted to add an aftermarket exhaust system. Nothing insanely loud but something with a little more aggressive sound and less restrictive air flow without doing any major engine modifications etc that may ruin anything. Does anyone have any suggestions on name brand/type to buy?

You will have to tune the truck to be able to change the exhaust.. It will more than likely void your warranty..

Now if you don't care about that then a flo pro with muffler is a great kit and fits very well.

You can still do a dpf back exhaust without issue.... No different than a cat back exhaust for a gasser

At the rate emissions inspections and ways of enforcment are changing see if you can find a DPF back system with a C.A.R.B. E.O. on it

There's no mufflers on the new trucks. I had no idea till we deleted my buddy's 2012. Just a cat and dpf.

little different than a gasser, either make some changes and have no warranty (my first and only choice) or leave it alone and make it look like a mall crawler.

I was under one, but none of the big 3 have a muffler anymore that I've seen.

The dpf filter is the muffler on the new trucks. After having the dpf's apart at work on some bigger cummins it's crazy how restrictive the are.
