Hello , I just purchased a brand new 2016 chevy Z71 2500 HD duramax. My 1st personal duramax, I have drove duramax diesel since 2001 as company rigs and love them. Any tips and/or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I would like to gain some fuel milage once it is broke in a little more. Thanks in advance.

Leave it alone until warranty is up. I've been down that road many times, my 16 is staying stock, the gains are minimal at best from deleting and tuning. My 15 averaged 11.6 with full deletes, lift pump and tuning and 35's, my 16 gets 11.4 totally stock on 35's. There really isn't much you can do that won't void your warranty or even worse make the truck run out of tune. I'd just drive and enjoy it...

Welcome to the forum...:D

strange, my dads 15.5 gets 13mpg towing at 70mph with a jeep on the back, 15-16 around town and 18-19 on the highway unloaded. thats hand calc. DIC reads 1-2mpg above that. 100% stock

Mine is the exact same as your dads does. I get 19-20 almost always and it's running a maxx effort time all the time unless towing. Has 35s under it's too, running a korys tuning. This is hand calculated as my Dic will read 2 mpg higher all the time too, also this is going down the road unloaded.
