Hey guys, I am new to the forum and looking for some help. I have a 2016 2500 with 20k miles. I leveled the truck and put on some ready lift upper control arms with some nitto 35 x 12.50's. After leveling the truck there is a light clunking noise only at low speeds going over rigid bumps. I can drive around all day and not hear the noise, but drive on to a rocky road and the first bump I hit I can hear a clunk noise in the front end. Thought it was possible the shocks were over extending, so swapped the shocks out all the way around with some Bilstein 5100's. Longer in the front to account for the leveling but made no change. Everything I can think to check is tight, and the truck has only been leveled for about 5k miles. Any ideas or other things to check for? It is becoming aggravating. Other than the level and shocks truck is completely stock. Only problem the truck had was at 17k miles the stearing gear box went out, which is a common problem with the 2016 trucks.

Not sure on the newer ones, but the upper control arm might be hitting the bump stop, usually happens when the keys are cranked too much and there isn't enough gap between the UCA and stop

On the newer trucks, in order to level the truck correctly the Upper control arms have to be changed because the stock control arms will pretty much ride on the bump stops. I have plenty of clearance with the ready lift control arms though. I made sure of that before leveling it.:thumb:
Like said above, there may be enough clearance when its sitting there, but when you go over a sharp bump they can hit that stop, I have cognito uca's on my LLY, and if I go over a harsh ramp into a parking lot or curb I can here it hit, and I can fit my fingers between the UCA and frame stop.

I have a 2016. 2.5" Rancho levelling kit. No bump, no clunk, rides like stock.

No reason to say WRONG...the truck was leveled with keys and the stock UCA's were hitting the bump stops on big bumps. What does the spacing look like between the UCA and the bump stop? I only see a 2.25" leveling kit from rancho with torsion keys and extended shocks. How do the ball joints look?
