2015 back to dealer 1600 miles

So we finally pulled the trigger on a 2015 picked it up and did a pcv reroute and put edge cts gauges in and installed a pyro in normal location. Last tues left for nashville drove amazing !!! came back to bowling green for ts ran great come home great. She starts up truck to drive it to work on monday an calls says its knocking!!! But no cel i assume she is making a big deal about nothing, she then sends me a sound clip and bam it is deff. knocking. I get home take for a spin and you cant hear it out side cab but in the cab it is most def there. she took it in today and they say its running fine and tell her its typewriter tick. i have owned 22 duramax powered vehicles on a personal level not to mention farm and work vehicles. this is not typewriter tick they did keep the truck and gave her a rental car but he said most likely they will just give it back he said "it has a 100k mile warranty" didnt know if any of you guys had any input? thanks matt

Any chance the exhaust manifold cracked after the pyro was installed? I've seen it happen couple hundred, thousand miles after the manifold is tapped. Just something to check....

When I bought my Lmm new I had a bottom end knock @ 6k miles oil psi was a tad lower but definitely had a knock. The local dealer looked @ it a couple times and told me everything was fine. I decided to bring it up to Billings MT Rimrock dealer and have them look @ it. There tech went for a test drive with me and came back and said yep thats a bottom end knock. By the time I made it home he had performed all the basic oil psi checks and said the engine had to come out. The next day the engine was out and he said that there were several rod bearings spun. He ordered a new crank and rods and bearings. Never had any trouble after that until she seen 66/80 compounds bigger fuel lol! It never has knocked after that but it will haze smoke @ idle. I pulled the engine and thru in another one. One of these soon days I will tear it down and witness the condition of the engine. It had 28k miles on it lol.

just picked it back up they changed the oil, and i had them cut the filter open. It looked fine, but i did get both of them to get in the truck w doors closed windows up and both agreed it does have a "abnormal sound" but is running fine so they basically told me run it for a while and bring it back and if i want they will have gm rep in to look at it :mad:
