I am also a fellow ford guy but like I tell my friends. Give them time for the problems to come. Most 6.7s out there have not hit the 100000 mile mark yet. The 6.4 was great for the first year or 2 but them went down hill. I do love the interior of them but still like the old 7.3s the most.

Crap the problems have already came for us. We have 15 2011 models Right now one of them is getting a new motor installed. It dropped a valve and ruined the motor. We have had fuel pump problems,def problems, plus other small aggravating problems also. We will not have any more once we get rid of these.

Our 4 lml's haven't had any major problems what so ever 2 of them have over 100,000 miles on them. Gm will actually cover crap under warranty. Ford on the other hand will do everything in their power not to.

I agree on the interior but I don't buy one based on interior. I am more concerned with mechanical aspect and how well they cover things under warranty. I am fixing to buy 4 or 5 more and they will all be gm. Probably 1 1/2 ton and the rest will be lml's.

Those new fords are truly dope bretheren but those new GMC 2014s! Holy crap. Those things are breath taking to me. Usually theres a growing period where i grow to like the new looks but not for these new 14s! Just my op!

Well he picked it up today! I will post a pic when my phone charges, died a minute ago. He is loving it! Haven't call him to see how the drive home was (2.5hrs) but i'm sure he was distracted with all the gadgets. :thumb:

Update on the junk. Got it out of the shop and 3 whole days later it was back in. Ford claimed def was contaminated with water. That one confused me because the stuff is 70% water. It got out yesterday and is going back in tomorrow. Pretty sure the turbo is gone again. This thing sucks.

And the oil cooler has 4 bolts on the outside and one from inside iirc.
So dont forget to take that plastic pan off if you wanna change the cooler.

Put a single 62 on it and delete and tune it. Confederate Diesel has a sweet kit.

Uh no. It has a little over 50,000 miles and is a work truck. If ford will get it fixed long enough to trade it in we will get another lml. We will swap the wheels and tires to one of our other fords but this one is GONE.

I will let you know what ford says. Something is going to happen with it pretty dang quick once it is halfway fixed.

So any issues that seem to pop up on brand new trucks, or anything that can be avoided by watching it etc? Friend is getting a brand new wrecked delivered come Monday and was asking me
