I know what Environmental Protection Agency is. I just thought that Euro is more stern on the environment then we are, but I could be wrong.

US is far worse on light duty trucks and small cars. That's why there are so few diesel cars in the states.

My neighbor is big into the diesel cars over in Europe, and he has told me he has tried to import a nissan frontier with their own dieel motor in it and has had zero luck. US fuel companies would loose money if we had diesels in the "mini truck" world. hell my colorado gets 28mpg, let a lone a small 4 banger turbo'd diesel..

You have some kind of facts to back this up?
No not at all but funny how we keep going into oil rich countrys.

And please dont think im hating on the milatary couldnt be further away from that.Alot of lives lost over there in something i dont think we sould have been there in the 1st place.Funny how both times we went over there was when both bush's were in office and they happen to be best friends with the saudi royal family.I dont want to get into a big debate on this it only my oppinion, take it for what its worth.

I will look for the news letter from the plant but I think it said they will be shipping them to the US.

don't tease me damn it!!! i told the wife if they bring it over she will not be getting the golf tdi, i would be getting the colorado. it didn't take much convincing. she said ok right away. the new body style is a little funny but i can work with it. a crew cab 4wd diesel would be sweet. looks like it would be in a 200/400 range. but i haven't been able to find a whole lot on it. actually i stopped searching so i wouldn't be let down when it didn't show.

I have seen ford testing diesel rangers in a nbs up in summit county for two years now. that seems to be where all the manufacturers go for high altitude testing. seems plausible that chevy could have it here at some point if ford is making one.

I wouldn't be terribly surprised to see the dmax/Colorado/canyon appear in the states. Isuzu spent a suspicious amount of money getting the 4jj engine certified for us emissions, considering how many npr's they will likely sell with that engine.
