2011 LML Starter Replacement

Does any other year starter work with the 2011 motor? I ask because I was told that the 2011 model has not been released yet for purchase other than at the dealerships.
Mine just started giving me problems and it's not the batteries. It now has 265,000 miles on it so I guess it is time to replace it.

Not true. ROckAuto.com ACDELCO Part # 12638394 about $200 plus shipping, $172 shipped at Amazon.

Have fun changing it. Unless I missed something you have to remove the exhaust. Not a big deal if you're deleted. A real bitch if emissions is all there/staying. It is cake however if you pull the cab and downpipe, luckily I had other reasons to do that

I did mine about a year ago. Disconnect downpipe from exhaust and unbolt motor mount from frame, lift engine on passenger side a bit and it will come out. Not too bad of a job.

Oh and I had to buy from the dealer, $400+ with lifetime warranty.

If it is that much work then I will just take it to the dealership for replacement.
