I have been having diesel exhaust coming into my cab of my 2011 Duramax because of a leaking downpipe. This problem started after a check engine light came on and the dealer replaced the indirect injector. The truck has been in the shop many, many times with the service department just shrugging their shoulders and not investigating the issue. This is a serious problem that GM knows they have. Fuel mileage has dropped considerably during this entire process. I also have had to present the dealership with videos, pictures and information from the internet about the problem.
My contact info is 318-376-9663

There's a bulletin on that, #PI0235G stating to re-align and install a gasket in the exhaust downpipe, then to run a service regeneration and observe for any smoke when the indirect injector kicks on. Not sure why your dealer isn't doing anything about it? Sounds like you need a new dealership.

I agree I'd be pissed especially with a bulletin there

I have begged them to get in touch with the GM rep but they refused. I was just told by the service manager that they still don't know what to do even after reading the bulletins and all the other info I have given them. I have told them about the bulletins for a two weeks now. I was told that they are diagnosing the symptoms that I am providing them. This is unreal

Oh well if they cant fix it I guess they need to buy it back!We had a 08 come in the guy was getting sick it was so bad,he blew out the egr riser gasket.Good luck man its hard to find a good dmax guy at a GM dealer but when you find a good guy that's where you go all the time after that.Refusing to call GM for help would have had me out of there fast.

I am in North Louisiana. The dealership where I have my truck is supposed to be "one of the best'", but that is up in the air right now.
