2011 duramax broken crank

I got a 2011 duramax that I make a living with an now I've got a broken crank . From reading some apparently they are having crank problems.anybody give me some insight .

Cant give any insight.But when I was at a dealer looking for trucks Salesman and I walked through the shop and seen 2011truck with the motor out .I asked about it and mechanic near it said it had a broken crank .no mods either .

I would PM the member "Fingers", his name is Jon with all info about the breakage. He's trying to set up a database on broken cranks to see if there is any relationships with the breaks.

Man if its one thing the Duramax has in common through all generations it's broken cranks. I'm sorry to hear about your truck. Hopefully it's still under warranty.

No warranty 27 months old but 176000 mile I make my living with a truck . The mechanics are saying that's the thing they see out of a duramax with some miles on it.

Sucks to hear ya its kinda luck of the draw there not overly common hopefully you don't get nailed to hard
