Have a 2011 CCSB LML.

Getting some engine stuff done, built trans/tc, and need some traction bars. I keep seeing CALTRACS, and then "custom" traction bars all over the place.

Truck is a DD, tows quite regularly in the 8-15k range, and is the occasion "toy". Maybe a trip or two to the drags/truck pull. Nothing enough to focus on one or the other.

Whats the best all around traction bars for an LML with the boxed frame? Everything I see is either weld on, or caltracs...

help:confused:

I run the ouo short gusset bars on mine. They sell a hardware kit for the boxed frame that makes install easy

Ended up having Dans Diesel Performance do their custom traction bars

nothing i love more than some rough mig welds especially to the frame....

This is what caught my eye "Industry Rule-of-Thumb" for threads protruding is at least 2, one thread is bare minimum and "sufficient", I guess. Preference would be at least one bolt size, 5/8" bolt diameter would protrude 5/8".

Be sure and check all the fasteners in about 500 miles..
