So installed a S&B intake on my brothers LMM wednesday night and truck went into limp mode today. i warned him it may do this due to the bigger intake tube and the fact his is touchy with throwing the MAF codes with a dirty stock filter.

Normally i wouldnt be here asking this question as i just talk with steve or have him make me a tune right quick to take care of the issue but hes out of town for the Mint 400 and the truck is his wifes only rig to drive with 2 little ones (he has a company vehicle he drives at work).

So can someone give me some quick insite to either knock the limp mode off or a quick run down a MAF rescale for the intake? truck is 100% stock beside the intake so no deletes or any of that.... yet. i would like to have them come over after work so i can flash a tune in the truck that just keeps them out of limp mode till steve gets back. if the truck was deleted, id just do my own scaling and figure it out but i dont want to plug the DPF up cause the scaling is way off

Not asking for secrets or any of that, just something for a temporary fix to keep them out of limp. stock intake got picked up in my trash load yesterday or that would be the first thing i swapped back on

If the diameter of the tube changed where the MAF sensor is, then you might need to rescale, but otherwise no. Most likely you just need to adjust the tune for the dreaded p0101. I had to do this on my truck when it was stock after replacing one oem filter with another - talk about sensitive!

You can just expand out the parameters of the P0101 diagnostics checks. The S&B shouldn't need the actual maf scaled, the LMM is ecm is very sensitive to MAF readings. It should run totally fine, just won't flip on the code.

Under the diagnostics, MAF sensor
