2009 vs 2008

not sure where to post this, My new '09 dually sure seems a lot faster/lighter/quicker/smoother than my '08(12K miles)2500HD was, or is it my imagination?
It feels like a complete different truck. specs the same?

Maybe the 08 needed new fuel/air filter's, DPF filled up ready for a regen, old truck had 3.73's, new may have 4.11 gears, the list goes on. Some trucks just run better than others to. They could have bumped programming (secretly) a little to compete with the new Dodges to. My buddy has a early 09 Dmax and his dad bought a 09 Dodge and the Dodge is faster both trucks bone stock.

Yup, new options include high idle (UF3), 70mph speed limiter (9B9), B20 Fuel (5F4), and 4.10 gears (GT5).

the dmax is still only available with 3.73's as of the current model year (2010), just like I originally said.

DOH!! Ben is right. When I looked up GT5, it didn't list restrictions, BUT when I looked up the LMM option, it lists: Not available with GT5.

Wow I didn't know that, I thought the 3500 dualy's came with them.

I would love to have 4.10's in my truck. I hated the 305/55r20's because 6th gear was below the power curve, had to cruise at 75-80 just to keep the engine happy when pulling any kind of a load. Went back to the stock 245's, better for fuel mileage and towing! Looks like shat tho!!
