Well sadly my season has come to an end

This is a seven minute video of my 12 hooks this summer. Would have liked to have gotten to more but time didnt allow.

Its obvious in the video that as the season went on I learned how to set the truck up better, and what worked for me and what didnt.

The season had its ups and downs but this was really my first serious season with this truck. And in the end it didnt come out too bad.

Ive got a lot of work to do over the winter.

Thanks guys. I havent been on here in while. Not much time between work and pulling.

Heres a lidt of the mods for winter.

The tranny is payed for by one of my sponsors. It has been since april just didnt get it done in time. Its a Suncoast stage IV with a 1054 converter. Im also adding a trasfer case brace and MA pump rub kit. But shhhh... its repairs for the companies duramaxes as far as the accountant is concered. hehe.

Head studs and a full bore manifold will be added as well.

Duel fuelers and a turbo will also be added as more sponsor money comes in. Im undecided on what to run for a turbo yet. Looks like Ill be running a Garret GT42 or an A5K if I run a big single. I may go twins, who knows. Our rules for the santioning body Im running with next year are unlimited single and 3.0 twins. I may also be different and run turbonetics.

A locker is getting aded to the front end.

And 33x12.5 Super swamper STSs will be mounted on my chrome H2s and run for pulling only.

Thats about all for now. id like to also add a roadruner ECM for ease of tuning since I do it myself.

At first I didnt notice the difference the air dog made. But when i was putting that video together I realized how muh it improved my performance. Still lost tons of rail pressure though.

i can deffinatly tell the difference after the lift pump. but probably the best pull i saw was with weight in the front and track bars.

if i could suggest anything for next season work on your launching. right now it looks real rough from what i see. from my experence i pull better with real smooth launches and 3/4 throttle then use the other 1/4 throttle to power through the rough end of the track other than that great job:D

Great video you put together. It helps looking from where you started to where you finished as in what has been done to the truck. Looks like you are right on track with what you want to do, good luck in 2009

I need to get out of the hole better, bust as stated defueling wouldnt let me. I would usually go easy on the throttle till it hit 3rd then drop the hammer. I know the truck wqasnt at a hundred percent but its what I could do. Just never did get eh defueling figured out.

The weights really do help, although a few of the pulls wouldnt let us hang so there I was pitching 16 weights out of my bed and then back into my bed when I was don pulling.

If you are draining rail pressure try running lower PW until you hold better pressure. The AirDog was a obvious help - I was gonna ask what was up with fueling until I saw that part of the video. Give her a trans and more traction. If you want to send me your tune I can take a look at it for you - not saying I'll change anything but I might be able to throw in a few tricks. Looking good though.

part way through the season I tuned the pulse width down a bit and the commanded pressure.

Im not worried about messing with the tune until everything is done this winter.
