If anyone has noticed I haven't updated my Regular cab short bed build thread. I ended up getting sucked into a bike build and have nearly 550 hours into it. The show was this weekend (Donnie Smith Bike show) at the St. Paul River Center and it went awesome!
Things I did on the bike:
Built the headlight bucket from scratch, integrated bars and headlight mounts from behind... no mounting screws can be seen.
Narrowed the bars 3".
Wired bike/stereo.
Fiberglass seat pan.
Air Ride wiring/etc.
Bag lids modified for 6.5" coaxials, finished front and back.
Sub boxes that pressure fit into the bags. 2 8" subwoofers.
iPad bluetooth to stereo, also his iPhone hooks up to the stereo though BT.
Countless hours of other BS lol, I've never built a bike before and it was intense on a 2 month build schedule for the Donnie Smith Baddest Bagger.
Suede inserts to hold iPad Mini while riding and a bottle of Louis XIII in the other (for show) lol plus they finish off the insides of the bags when they are open.
Other things off teh top of my head:
Custom tank
fender and fork tubes are one piece
120R motor
HUGE velocity stack
Frame is raked out and up for 26" front wheel
18" rear wheel
Bags:
10 pounds of shit in an 8 pound bag
and it was on tv Friday morning lol
Bike had just been pulled out of the shop, we polished it at the show yesterday to get the light scratches from assembly out.
It was a group effort so I can't take all the credit at all. But I think it turned out awesome!
