2006 LBZ, no power on Camshaft position sensor signal wire or ECM pin 56

2006 2500HD Allison LBZ. won't start, P0340 camshaft position sensor wiring

5 VOLT Reference to low reference is: 5 volts

Camshaft signal to ground is: 0 volts, also pulled pin #56 at ECM also 0 volts here as well...
Bad ECM? Is there anything that would cause 0 volts here?

Check for wire chaffing on plastic fender liner. I had an intermittent crank no start, started digging around and found my CPS wiring near the ECM had chaffed nearly all the way through from rubbing the fender liner.

Explain your process for checking the signal wire

First checked signal wire at CMP connector (pin1) sensor unplugged: 0 Volts, 5 volt reference (pin 3 on CMP connector) is good 5 volts here, low reference (pin 2 on CMP connector) is good.

Checked directly at ECM: pin #56 and results are 0 volts at the ECM with signal wire/pin unplugged..

The signal wire won't have any voltage until the sensor sends a single down it. If you unplug the sensor that wire should read zero volts
