2005 Chevy kodiak 4500 Shutting Down

I have a issue with the engine shutting down. I lose FRP Regulator Fuel Flow Command when this valve goes to 0 the truck shuts down then the valve comes right back. The truck will restart after it sits for a while then the same thing happens again. Where does the ecm get the load value from?
Can anyone please guide me to what would cause this issue.

0 is actually full open. Which is what it would try and do to keep the pressure up if it suddenly dropped off quickly. I'd check for a restriction in the fuel supply. When's the last time the filter was changed?

Are you speaking of the fuel water Seperator?

Water separator and filter are one and the same for the stock Duramax.

Changed the filter and truck still doing the same thing and shutting down after 3 or 4 mins. of running, then restarts again after sitting for 5 mins. and runs again for 3 or 4 mins.

Do you have a scanner to monitor actual and desired fuel pressure?

Could the problem with the stalling possible to be a torque converter locking up?
