2004 died and won't start

just got home and was backing up the trailer and i got out to look around and the truck died. thought that the wife turnd it off but she didnt touch anything and now it cranks but doesnt start. any ideas. no codes. 2004 cc duramax all stock

Try pumping the primer on the top of the fuel filter housing. If it is hard then this is not the problem. If you can pump it then open the bleeder screw and pump till fuel comes out the vent.

You should check this-- for any LLY.
At the side of the alternator there is the FICM harness tied down with a Zip tie. Cut the tie and pull the wires from the harness and inspect for cuts and wear. The sharp corner of the FICM bracket where it is tied down to, cuts into the wires. Repair and insulate the harness with a short piece of heater hose.

I had the same problem, mine just ran in limp mode. I ended up making a bracket to space the harness off of the metal.
