I'm going to be doing this as well. I believe hood, grill, and the pieces between the headlights. But I know there are people here that have done it so hopefully they chime in.

The painted plastic that goes inbetween the headlight and the turn lamp is part of the grill itself. I am not totally sure if the provisions for the grill to snap in place would be in the correct locations on the 03-04 style truck or not. Would be a simple fix to buy the plastic mounting bracket that locates the lights, turn lamps, and the grille for a 05-07 classic though I would think.

Like TeaBagger said all you should need is the grille and the hood.

check your local salvage yard, or try www.gmpartsdirect.com to get an idea of what your looking for, personally I think the 01' Chevy's are the best looking don't really like the angles of the newer front end...but to each their own, you could sway to a gmc, or denali bumper if your wantin to give her a face lift

Pretty sure the grille and hood are all you need. I think its just a simple swap parts deal. No special modifications required. Kyle (kman2468 or whatever) did it to his over on DF.

Any 05-07 (classic) hood and grille will work. 1500 (06-07), 2500 & 3500 are all the same. There are several aftermarket companies out there that offer full replacement grille's as well that will work. Do NOT do an aftermarket grille that lists for 03-07 though, the cut on the top will not line up with the 05-07 high hump hood.

i though starting 03 the front ends changed already? wouldnt you also need the fenders to accept the different shape of the headlights?

i made it work cheaply on my 04 lly, i have an 07 classic lbz grill, but i didnt use the hood...so i bought an AVS low profile bug deflector for 05 and up truck and it looks really good i know its half assed but it works and cover the 3/4 inch gap that would be there without it.. ill eventually get the hood but for now its no big deal, my truck is black so i barely see the black deflector anyways
