When mashing on the throttle a little more than usual I'm having an issue with shift lag. It feels as though once I'm in 3 gear or so, it gets stuck at 3k rpms unless I let off slightly to shift again. Truck has 186k on it

Back ground info: trans has 8k on a built core rated at 800hp, new lbz fpr, apr head studs/gasket job done 2k ago, and I also have an air dog 2 lift pump-filter/water defuser switched 2k ago. Oil was also changed 2.5k miles ago.

Any information would be great, thanks brothers.

Who supposedly built it? Why aren't you talking to your builder?
You shouldn't even be posting here unless you had a qualified trans tech with a Tech 2 check it out.

This was moved here b/c its TRANS related. Post in the proper area in the future, please.

Talk to Dan's first. None of us know what was done to your trans or whats causing the "lag". No codes, no other insights to help understand exactly what's going on.
Hell, it could be in your tuning for all we know.

No It's in Illinois bmc, I have heard of Dimitri's builds though. Also Bac I understand that I posted in the wrong area my apologies.

No codes are being thrown, and the truck is programed with EFI Live, after the new trans was installed. Tuning was also done by Dan's, I guess i'll just wait until tomorrow and give them a call.

If anyone has any information though thanks in advance.

Why is it that some of you newbies want to share a problem with the world before you call your builder. You bored?
When you guys do this you tend to make the builder look bad and in many cases the builder doesn't know there is a problem cause you didn't fricken tell him.
Get this through your thick skulls. We don't know what the builder did or didn't do. We have no idea. Codes mean nothing as there are no codes for installing something incorrectly if in fact this happened.
If you really feel compelled to discuss your problem before you call your builder; try another forum where they will tell you to change your NSBU switch, change spin on, do a complete flush with Transynd, and do a relearn with your Edge. That usually solves every problem with the Allison. :D

Alright Mike lol. I didn't know it was a common thing for me to drop 5k and have the trans not be built correctly... My bad I guess:thumb:

Not sure why we have to be so hard on him if he just happened to ask a question about his trans. We should be allowed to post stuff freely. If someone thinks its a dumb question they dont have to reply.

No reason he should be asking instead of talking to the builder.

I think duramax diesel is low on creativity. Only a few select builders are allowed to say anything. Not a good place to post random ideas that arent 'approved'. Or ways to save money. And yes, next time he should just talk to his local shop instead of getting belittled online.

I think you may want to get off your high horse. There's a proper way to go about things, and this is an example of how NOT to go about it.

Funny, I always considered DD to have the most creative members Ive been around since 03-07 at the Place, esp from 08-14. Maybe not so much now, as most of the old members who were here have moved on, but its still better than any other Dmax forum out there.

You are a moron. There are no select builders that are allowed to post. Everyone is allowed to post.
Go back to your safe place snowflake and you won't get butt hurt.:thumb:
