Alright guys, need some help.

I got a call from the wife who is driving the LLY in my sig below. She said the CTS was reading 2000°. She's in Missouri and I'm in Cali. No smoke, no power loss. Trans temp was 165° engine coolant was 185°. Ambient temp is about 80°. No issues on injector balance rates. She said she had went through a pretty big flood area because of rain.

What could possibly cause this? No weird sounds according to her. Possible probe failure?

Thanks for any help.

Edge probes are prone to failure, as others have mentioned. I would get a good, dedicated EGT gauge like Autometer or Isspro and then you won't have to wonder whether your EGT reading is good or not.

Awesome. I won't be back until end of the month. So I have her running it on level 3 and keeping an eye on engine temp just to be safe. I will change it out when I get home.
