How much can you mix it to your diesel. I been running 16 ounches to a tank full. Is that enough or to much or need more and if to much will it plug up the fuel filter?

I'm running 2 qts. to 40 gal. in winter seems to help fuel flow better thru lift pump it's quieter and hope the filter wont gel now since summers flush is on for the old system tune time. Went from 70 to 10 below in 3 days for a winter change. Bang!!!!!!

Just run fuel conditioner. 2 micron fuel filters don't allow much through and I highly doubt any of the additives in 2 stroke oil will get through it.
This isn't an old 12v cummins or 6.2/6.5 Chev which run like 80micron filters and nozzle style injectors.

I've used the 2 stroke oil before too. Seemed to quiet down the motor some. Now all I use is PS. I swear by it. I notice a decent mileage increase with it.

Alot of people back in the day used to use it in the winter in the older diesels as an added lubricant as winter diesel doesn't have the lubricity that regular diesel does. That or ATF. Both worked quite well. They used to cut diesel with Kerosene so it doesn't gel up in cold temps and I'm not sure if they still do or not.
I do know I wouldn't put it in a Dmax or any common rail fuel system for that matter but to each his own.

Some of you guys might remember when this was the hot topic over at DP
Here is the study on additives.

Hell back in the day, winter diesel had better lubricity than summer diesel does now. Imo if anything, common rail motors would benefit from it more than mechanical motors. High pressure and faster moving parts doesnt work well with no lubrication. Ive been putting it in my trucks since 2004, never had a problem.

I have never been believer in 2 stroke oil in CR motors. These motors are so much more refined than an old 12 Valve or IDI motor just the nozzles are so much smaller I wouldn't run anything that could clog the nozzles.

2 stroke blends into even 30 gallons so thin that won't make diddly on flows it helps in my experience of this LBZ for quieter and smoother sounding just up to the user. I put it thru my last 96 powerstroke too ran fine. We use it in six present diesels yr. round for the record no issues.

I get why people might think it wouldnt be good for/or enhance performance or longevity on CRs, but is there really any real data thats proves its better/harmful to them?

The additive study posted above pretty much proved to me that your best bet is still a proper fuel conditioner.
Like I said before, on a mechanical injection engine, I would have no problem running atf, 2-stroke oil, etc.

But my argument is still the 2 micron filter and the tight tolerances inside the fuel pump and injectors!! How much of that crap in the oil additives is actually even going to get past the filter? 1 liter of oil in 100 liters of fuel is still 1 liter of oil that has to pass through the filter - no matter how diluted it is. And if you only burn 3/4 of a tank, add another liter of oil and top it off with fuel, what's your ratio of oil/fuel now?

Y'all can run what you want, but I know I wll never run anything but diesel fuel conditioner either with or without cetane boost in any CR I ever own/operate.

I saw an advertisement for an additive in Diesel power mag a couple months back that sounded like a more refined version of 2 stroke oil that was for CR motors. Can't find that mag though.

I've been running 2 stroke oil (1oz/gal) in my LMM for 74K miles with the EGR plate and DPF deleted. Truck runs great! I'll take my chances....THERE'S ALWAYS TIME FOR LUBRICANT!!! :thumb::D
