I thought the slip yoke only went on one way/one position

Exactly what I thought too. Most of the ones I'd seen had a "master" spline. The TSB came from Chevrolet/GM too. For some reason, GM got away from that during those years. I haven't had any need to pull the shaft out of my '01 but I'm going to look at that one carefully. I know any of the big stuff I've worked on has a blind or master spline.

is it riskier to run a single piece drive shaft? say for instance you get some wheel hop, wouldnt that damage the transfer case. where as having a carrier bearing keeps the t-case safe from the jerking.
i have the 2 piece since mine is a cc/lb and ive had to replace the bearing twice:mad:
i need some traction bars!!!

IDK I have a regular cab long bed. 1 piece with 4x4. I had wheel hop for a while when I first started pulling, and my transfer case lived to tell about it.
