2.6 Smooth Bore

Well our “workstock/2.5” got bumped up to 2.6 smooth bore class. I have heard that it’s hard to be competitive for cheap with a Duramax with this class compared to a Cummins. What is you current 2.6 guys advice? We are only running 100% overs, single 10mm pump, stock bottom end. Plan to run dual 10mm pumps and find a 2.6 SB charger to run then regear to 4.56’s. Will build a shortblock when that money is available.

Evan Davis is one the most successful dmax 2.5 pullers I know of. He sold that truck and it's still top of the class in 2.6sb for the new owner. Maybe get ahold of evan. Real nice guy.

FPP still has his 2.5 class
But FPP finally seen the light and added 3.0 LPDT this year

In Missouri we were the last 2.5 class, with open map groove that I know of. They switched to 2.6 SB to try and make the playing field more level.
