Building a street legel pulling truck would it be worth buying a different turbo because 2.5 is the limit or should we just keep the stock one on a 07 LBZ were hoping to make close to 600 horse with water meth is this possible with the stock turbo

a GT4088 is a 2.5 legal turbo... that would be a great option

how much boost will it make and what would be a good injecter to go with it

depending a lot on available fuel with a single CP3 IIRC they make around 40psi. For injectors... depending how much money you have available i'd say go with Guy's but Georges injectors have been fairing very well.

We can run water meth and a 2.5 turbo only thing we cant run is nitrous no limit on money this guys family is loaded, and I know the stock turbo will make 32lbs of boost I dont think 8 more will help that much will it, and what horse injecter would you run he has a FASS 150 lift pump

psi is not indicative of power... the GT4088 is much more efficient than the stock turbo. With a stroker CP3 and the GT4088 around 625-650hp is very possible. I'd Go GT4088, Guys 60% over injectors, and a Wicked Diesel CP3. I'd call Shane at Wicked Diesels tomorrow and shoot him some ideas as to what you want to do.

If you want to make the most power for a specific (2.5) class you shouldn't buy an off the shelf charger, as they generally aren't enough. If you don't have a budget you'll def. want to put a bigger pump in it.

i ran the 4088 for a while. loved it!! sounded mean!!! though it was obnoxiously loud, and it pulled hard! you will have to tune out limp mode and the shifting will be a little funny on a high power tune with the vvt sensors / solenoids being removed.

An S400 based charger with a 2.5" inducer would be the way to go. Significantly cheaper than a GT4088 as well. And done right would give you the option to bump up to 2.8 or 3.0" once you got a built motor, for the cost of a new cover.

X100. The GT40 series are lame. You would be much happier with a nice S400. Have a cover made to make it 2.5 legal.;)

These guys are speaking the troof!

GT4088 is a very good charger and has been proven on the track time and again. Although, you could have a fully custom S400, totally duded out trick charger that would be legal for the price of the GT40.

I'll get Ecc in here, he pulled with the 4088 for 2 seasons. He just changed to a forced inductions custom and says it is miles ahead of the Garrett.

x3 on a custom s400 airwerks. They are nice turbos (make sure you feed the oil off the side of the block).

If you have unlimited funds heck build the motor up, add some Pro-flows, a Wicked Pump some big sticks and your custom charger. You can do a lot with a 2.5 turbo if everything is setup right.:D

Yea the 4088r is really lame for the cash it costs. I don't care what you do. You wont get more than 40psi out of it. A custom s400 with a 2.5 compressor housing is def the way to go. If theres no budget. Ditch the 3.73 gears and put in some 4.56's to run 4th gear in the tranny. I doubt there will be many trucks that will touch it;)
