No worries! I did get to pull. Ended up pulling in both the 7000lb Open and 8000lb Open.....results were the same. Disappointing!

Ran Axle stops, front end dropped, and 35psi in front tires, and 38psi in rear. ---each pull ended up with the rear end hopping once the sled started sliding up.

The only thing I can think was happening was tire bounce since all other parts of the rear susp was solid. -- track was about 250ft and super nice clay.

I also think running almost new Toyo MT's weren't helping....just got that solved. Picked up a set of 18x10 MT Classic Lock's with BFG All Terrains with about 35% tread.....not a fan of the look as much now but this should help..... I hope!!

Go down to 20-25 psi in front tires... With short wheel base and over 700 hp u r gonna need 700+ lbs on a weight bracket way out front to keep the truck from hopping down the track...

Not to derail but what's the best way to pin the rear down? I had a hopping issue had spring clamps but not enough prep time had 300lbs in bed and 1000lbs on weight rack out front should have clamped springs but ran out of time to clamp them could that have been my issue? Looking to add traction bars later on when money and time allow

Good power and lack of traction bars can let the springs wrap and unwind and generate or worsen a hop

I'll try dropping front tire pressure! I was afraid of that......so you think me running in the 7000lb class is going to over then? With no weight I came in at 6800lbs.

Wow I wouldn't have thought she was that heavy. Do you have any limeters under front to keep it from coming up?

Take a rachet strap and pull the rear down to "load" it if you don't have traction bars. Then clamp the springs. Then release the rachet strap. The rear will not come back up.

I was gonna ask that, but I figured we are peanuts compared to half these fellas! Lol. It's still fun as heck tho!! The blocks I made were just gonna go between the bump stop and UCA it would still have alot of downward travel, and would just keep the weight up on the front end. But I'm very green to this, so again I'm all ears.

For getting weight on the front big heavy aftermarket bumpers work good or put weight in the passenger side floor board and behind and under the seat.

Also get your hooking point as close to the rear axle as rules will allow, gives the sled less leaverage to lift the front of the truck.

You also want to keep your hitch height as close to 26" as possible, the more the weight of the slep pulls your ass end of your truck down the sled digs in harder.

Tires, all terrain style tires usual work best. Alot of people think the M/T style will get better traction but they often dig to much and pile dirt in front of the sled and not let you keep the rpms up.

I pulled a regular cab in work stock class for about 3 years and did very well with it.

Here's a video of my truck last year, 1st place out of almost 30 trucks!
