Well, ran my new m and h nostalgias yesterday, always ran a radial until now. The truck is a crewcab 2wd,started at 13# air,60 ft was 1.89,truck was floating on the big end. Also, track guys said the tire was trying to spin off the wheel at launch. Went to 14#,1.78 60,same wheel issue, but did not break out. Tried 15#,1.75 60 ft,tried 16#,1.75 60 ft. No wheel hop,but the tires are buckling hard and still trying to spin off the wheels somewhat. I might try rimm screws?????? Also I had a full tank of fuel by mistake,I never do that, and at the higher #the truck felt more stable. Anyone had to use rim screws? Also I am not running tubes.

I have tubes in mine and ran them at 20psi and the tires spun about 3 inches on the wheel. I marked them with a marker before each run to see what they were doing. Im 4WD though and launched pretty hard a couple times with a 1.5x sixty foot. If you do the screws let me know how it does please.

You DO NOT want your slicks spinning on the wheels if you run tubes. Its too easy to rip the valve stem out of the tube...and then you're in a whole heap of trouble that you dont want.

1.8x's. It's been burn outs that have killed me. I've had a lot of trouble getting a tune to light the turbo for the burn outs. I've thought about a looser converter, but I think I just need to do some more tuning with my MAF.

It's a process isn't it? What were your 60's on the DR's and at what psi?

I talked to john at m and h today. He helped me a lot with the drag radial setup for the past 2 years. As of now I am not going to run tubes,or wheel screws yet. Might shock some of you but he recommended 17-18# of pressure and more traction bar adjustments. I trust his advice,he is diesel friendly. So I will let yall know what happens. Hopefully this sat if it does not rain.

I think M&H recommends a tube with that tire. Dennis at Strictly Diesel runs those on his 2wd truck, he had special wheel made for them, they have wheel screws as well. I know he spends a lot of time working on air pressure...

Thats exactly what Im shooting for. That truck launches nicely for a 2wd.

The guy at M&H recommended NOT to run a tube or screws? Wouldnt have expected that. Give his ideas a try and get back to us, would be interesting to hear the results.

12.00-16 or 13.00-16 Nostalgias are what I plan to run on my truck.
