Allison 5sp: 1st gear weirdness

Is it normal for the trans to sometimes kind of jerk itself into first if you just came up a small incline then stopped? It seems like if I go up a small hill and theres a stop sign and i have to stop, the trans sort of jerks into 1st. It's not every time but once a hair from a werewolf's ass it'll do it.

Bad? Good?

Mine does that from time to time. Almost like it hits neutral for a second then grabs first. I've found that fine tuning the fluid fill level will help with this issue. Least it helped with my particular cause.

Check the rear driveshaft yoke to the transfer case spline. It might be sticking and worn out.
