It's been awhile since I updated this. Just like my truck we have not taken very many pictures. Since my truck is a HSP getting a set of triples on it I had time to help my dad out. I got all the body mounts made all the crossmembers modified and the fuel cell mounted. I spent a lot of time getting the 72 core support to work with the 06 frame and fit around the radiator and intercooler. Stripped most everything off the frame and removed the engine, trans and transfer case. If it doesn't rain here tomorrow we are going to sand blast the frame and paint it this weekend. My dad got all the computers mounted and the wires run to them. Got all the switches mounted including the 4x4, headlight, windows and a few others. He has been spending a lot of time molding the 06 cluster into the 72 dash and so far it looks great. He is just finishing up the fiberglass work on the bezel around the cluster. If I get some time I will post some pictures. My truck is supposed to be done next week so after I get it back my dad will be on his own again.
We are not sure on the suspension set up just yet. He wants to run 35" tires but were not sure what going to need to be done to the suspension to get them to fit and still ride half way nice. So far we removed one spring in the rear leaf pack and set the torsion bars as loose as they will go. We will get the body back on it next week and see what needs to be done.

Here are a couple pics I just took. Sorry about the mess we have been at it hard and haven't had time to clean up.

Dam!!! That is an awesome combination. Those old body style Blazers are very cool! 35’s are a great choice with the proper lift. They fill up the round wheel wells nicely. I can’t wait to see it. :thumb::thumb:

Got the frame and everything else I needed to sandblasted today. We will paint all the smaller stuff tomorrow and paint the frame and under side of the body Sunday.

I took my dads LBZ apart to have the heads decked and too install c head gaskets with ARP head studs. I got it all back together and painted today.

Got the rear drive shaft made today. Talk about short drive shaft syndrome. This thing just looks ridiculous.

Nice progress! That shaft is going to be pissed off all the time with the short shaft syndrome. Its not the length of shaft that matters, its how you use it that matters...

haha Mack I was waiting for someone to say that.
Motors in, dash is done, front fenders are on, core support is in and I just finished mounting the radiator and intercooler. I'm working on piping next and getting all the wires run. Once we get that done I will finish the fuel system. I will try and get more pictures up tomorrow.

Damn... That all fits in there just like it belongs. Nice :thumb:
Hope to see it out and about this summer when I'm up visiting family in the Elburn area.
