1961 Suburban Dmax!

He reported that he used the floorpan and firewall and dash from the 02 in it and went from there... it is made from joining a suburban and pickup to make the cab a CC. You all may recall that era suburban was never produced with an actual 4th door behind the driver, just a three door with the 3rd one on the pass. side. He makes it look like a 4th door is there (even has a seam) but I can't tell if there really is or not and he didn't say. There is NOT a 4th door on the orange one, just a handle to make it appear like there is at a glance. 
There are some that have had the 4th door made. THAT is major undertaking to make it look like an exact mirror of the one on the other side. Something like 3 or 4 doors have to be used to do it plus LOTS of work to make the B pillars and jams and hinges and latches, etc. It's crazy but over on 67-72chevytrucks.com a guy outlines the process with all the pictures. It's insane!!

I was down there the other day dropping off some forks, he was showing us his collection of fiberglass cameo bedsides(15 or so)

A D-Max Cameo would be sweet! There is a guy in town w/a 64-66 GMC Crew. Old Railroad truck he found in NE. Over on Heartland Diesels there are a couple of guys building 67-72 CC's. Sounds like they a putting Inlines in them, though.
Perhaps you missed this :rofl::rofl: .... I know what a chevy looks like. I also happen to know what a powerwagon looks like. Thusly, in my opinion, that chevy looks somehwat like a powerwagon....... to me that is.
I'm happy you see a chevy though. Be a little worried if you didn't.
