I think it even said it was the 10 speed in the video.

I either heard it on the forum, or read it somewhere that the 10 speed in the F150 and the 10 speed for the camaro are identical internally and electronically. That being said, it is built to handle a bunch of ponies and torque.

Ford and GM designed the transmission together.

not to be a conspiracy theorist here or anything but the carbon fiber bed thing is just an absolute joke...
Henry Ford had his plastic hemp car back in the 40’s that could withstand a fricking sledgehammer :D
And our standard option now is metal that if you look at funny gets a dent in it lol
It’s all about making everyone money except the consumer. :thumb:

Anything over 6 speeds sucks IMHO.

I though you had a 1500 with a 6.2 and 8 speed you really liked and where a fan of it in the Z06?

Which is even funnier because yes it's superior but the 5 speed lb7 trucks still get better mileage than any other Duramax in stock trim
I'm not sure about that with my stock tires and narrow 33s I got 21-23mpg on the hwy consistently. Now with H2s 285s and the fact I don't drive for mileage anymore I still get 17+mpg. I figure the H2s and tires cost me 2mpg the rest is my right foot. I wonder if the faster spool up of the VVT doesn't let/cause you to burn a little bit more fuel though. Then there's the lower compression too... Never mind who cares It's All About Smiles per gallon lol

GM did a terrible job on the programming with the 8L90. Still, too many gears. The big problem is at 45mph you are in 8th gear and engine is at 1100rpm. Try rolling into the throttle to go around someone.
If you drive it aggressively it is much better but in city driving it sucks. Good thing it has 420hp.
Now my wifes RX350 has an 8 speed and with 285hp, it has trouble getting out of its own way without a double or triple gear drop.
Hellcat has a ZF 8HP90 auto and much better programming. It doesn't suffer as much from gear drops because 707hp doesn't give a shit.:D
