I have 4800 miles on my 15 3500HD now and at about 2K I did some tuning on it to build some emissions enabled tuning for a customer who wanted more throttle response and make it a little more fun to drive so I built the tunes on mine and sent them to him. and have 2800 with the tune that I have been running and have been happy with it and it seems to regen about once every 250 miles or so up until I had the oil changed friday. as soon as I left the dealer and opened it up a little heading home I could immediately tell it had more power. also notice that now if I'm rolling through and intersection and flat foot it, it will break the tires loose even with the traction control on and running 35's and 20's with a lift. the next thing I noticed it the soot grams climbs faster now. (watching it on a CTS2) the only thing the dealer did was change engine oil and filter and washed and rotated tires. they reset the oil life as it is at 98 % I noticed shortly after leaving. is there something in the programming that would release full power after the first oil life is reset after a certain amount of miles? bout has to be cause it sure didn't run like this before.

Maybe it had some type of ghost code that just wasnt throwing a CEL and as protocal dealer reset oil and cleared diagnostics as well?

Man I have checked codes and didn't do any deleting at all, all I did was some timing, fuel pulse bump and the torque tables to wake it up a little on take off. and I know they didn't disconnect the CTS 2 as it had all my same PID's being watched and it makes you go back through the setup and has that 3 key cycle warning that always comes up. sure runs good though lol. just dirtying up the filter a lot faster.

Even if no codes or ghost codes are showing up, Ive found that clearing DTC's definitely still does "something" to the ECM, even on the older trucks.

These things are very touchy ( LML's )
If your tire monitor light is on it will lose power. If you have a bad glow plug , trans will shift weird and clunk on downshifts. Sometimes when truck goes into regen I will get a surge of power. On the next ignition cycle it will lose power. :dontknow:

sounds like the old 2 stroke motto on quads and bikes "if its down on power, change the spark plug. not running right, change the spark plug. if the damn tire is flat, change the spark plug" lol

Well since its a 3500HD there is no TPMS, Ill keep an eye on it. I have a guy that has right at 4K on his and will be getting the oil change soon so we will see if he notices anything different.

My dads 15 showed no difference. He has 8k on his now. His only gripe is the tcm not figuring out what it wants to do between certain shifts

odd for sure. IDK what happened lol. also rail pressure seems to be keeping up better too, I don't have a lift pump and at times it would fall off some. but I know they didn't change the fuel filter.

Rail pressure drops with tank level. Mine will start coughing a bit when I get below 5 gallons at WOT.
