This is a diesel powerplant being tested by the US Army (TARDEC). That's about 50 PSIG boost, for those in Rio Linda.

Kinda off topic but can duramaxs run on jp8 or anything else? I know the vp44 isb can run off a, b, 8 and abunch of otherthings.

IIRC, JP-8 is the universal diesel/jet fuel for the US Armed Forces. It goes in the 6.2/6.5L Hummers.

It's low on lubricity. It would be hell on common rail pumps and injectors.

Am I reading correctly, that would be 271cubic inches and 550hp in a 4cyl that is also rated to turn 4250rpms from factory? That thing sounds awesome:thumb:

One of the locals here in Phoenix runs JP8 in his de-stroked Ford. I don't know what it would do in a Dmax but it might be worth a shot?.

There is an airport about 5 minutes from my house that has it. I might do a 50/50 mix and see what happens! With a couple quarts of Type F of course!
