comp DV's on the street suck and please for the love of god and your engine do not just "throw away the plate", It don't get much more redneck then that and if you've ever overtraveled and hung the rack you'd see why. Grind plates, swap plates, slide plates but there really is no reason other then being cheap or not knowing better to throw the plate away. Hell even our P pumped 24V puller has a plate and still flows enough for over 1000hp worth of fuel,,,,, The 12mm pump we had with a plate flowed 600+ cc

Funny, you have to learn to drive, just don't mash the foot to the floor. The SDX delivery valves work. Sorry its just as easy as adjusting your afc. Learn to live buddy, there is tons of fueling there tap into some of it. We have bunch of truck running around like this. Prior to flooring the truck, at least get on top of the turbo. Big laggy singles don't help either.

All a fuel plate does is limit rack travel. I also suggest getting a rack plug. I rather have the fueling and learn to drive, than have no fueling.

Probably a 175HP pump. Get the part # off the side of pump so you can find out for sure. We have several tweaked stock truck near 500rwhp. First off you'll parts are dirt cheap and power easy to be found. Best mod going is to throw in 4k gsk, SDX competion delivery valves, rack the barrells, and throw away the fueling plate. Tweak the AFC for full fueling. What clutch is in the truck, most 12v's we have use a 3600 SBC dual disk, just cause you'll make tons of power.

That's more on the lines of what he was trying to explain to me about what he was doing to the pump. It's another language for me so some of it gets lost in translation. And I'm sure he will be doing the 4gsk like on his old truck.

Not sure on the clutch. He's a valair fan but I don't know which one he is going with.

The throttle response of a hot 12v is just plain stupid. Simply amazing!

haha we have CDS comp DV's in all of our comp pumps. they do work great in comp use but run hot and smokey on the street. I've went from full cut/laser cut comp valves to 042 DDP DV's and actually gained a lot on the bottom on the street. We've tapped into plenty and if what we have isn't enough we have a Scheid 14mm pump on the shelf on standby :thumb:
And you made my point exactly,, the plate limits travel,, you throw a rack plug in, remove the plate,, your chances of hanging the rack just increased 10 fold. There's no reason to remove it unless you are too tight to buy a good plate that fits your needs or simply don't know better. We've got $14K in the bottom end and I know thats minor compared to a lot of them out there but if I lost that cause i was to cheap to spring for a couple hundred dollar adjustable plate from Scheid I'd be effin sick. If you're running a 4K spring chances are it may not be as ugly but with pumps capable of 6K plus,, hang a rack once and you'll make sure it never happens again. Also most of the guys with no plates are the one's with no air shut off,,,,,, thats when it gets ugly for them.
