Kind of depends what your end goals are. If you never plan on going over 800-900hp I would go 12mm, if you think some day your going to want more than 1k hp I would do a dual fueler. I remember reading that each CP3 pump takes about 20hp to run, so at say 800hp with one 12mm pump you could make more hp than with 2 stock pumps. But that's just my opinion!

How true is 20hp to run each cp3 pump? I want to add a second pump

I prefer ats cleaner install and no oil filler neck relocation IMHO the mount is beefier than ppe I run two cause I got tired of 1093 code when running big tunes

I want to go with the 12mm cp3 but I can get the the dual fueler kit a lot cheaper. Is it true that dual fueler are harder on crank? And will the ppe kits come with the nicer pulley now (not the solid one).

Still my vote to this date, single pump until you actually need dual pumps. I make 1400hp on a single 14mmcp3 without all the clutter under the hood. 10mm cp3 is good up to 800hp with the correct air and the 12mm cp3 is good up to 1200hp with the correct air and 14mm cp3 I haven't found the limit yet.:thumb:

Mark - your 68stg2r dyno sheets show a stock 60 over injected 12mm pumped LBZ making 758hp. Are you saying that it could be duplicated with the 10mm?

I'm with you a twin kit is cheaper especially if you your current pump is in good condition

Either option will successfully get the job done. A single pump makes for a nice clean under hood appearance. Some prefer the "bling" of the dual pumps. A single obviously requires you to go digging around in the valley while duals can be installed without any of that headache. If you ever plan to sell the truck, dual fuelers come off easy for separate sale. I have never heard of the 20 HP drop with duals but I'm sure there is some very slight loss given it's belt driven. At the end of the day just pick one and go with it. I went duals because I got a screaming deal on a low mile healthy LBZ pump and dual setup ended up the cheaper option that way.

The 60%inj are too much for a 10mmcp3 when ran wide open so with out twins or equivalent air you won't get there with the 10mm. It's usually a twin setup that sees the full 800hp out of a 10mm cp3. As far as the dual fueler being harder on the crank, I don't know how you would even measure that to verify it but all the guys back when that put belt driven superchargers had nothing but quick crank failures so there is definitely something to the theory. Everyone has their own preferences so you have to go with what works for you! I'm rocking a single 14mm cp3 in a 6k lb truck that runs 141mph in the quarter so it is obviously making some serious hp!:thumb:

ok, so not to hijack too badly... my truck is on 40 overs with the stock cp3. Where would I be on a 10mm and where on a 12mm? It's been 2yrs since I came, so I'm getting closer to buying either and coming back to re-tune! :) Thanks!

Being harder on the crank makes sense to me now that I think of it. The reduced hp proves it's more strain to run tho it may be nominal. Adding another pump that's belt driven by the crank in top of the factory accessories and I'd say it may be harder in the crank

Go with a 12mm and there won't be any questions on it!
