120mph Peterbult... NO BULL

I was runnin down I-84 in OC NY and the other day, and a real nice pete was kept tryin to mess with me in a good way. I guess he wanted to see what I got well I showed off a bit and then so did he. OH MY GOD!!! I couldn't believe how fast that thing was I was at around 3200rpm on/off on/off just to stay ahead. but he was right there. It was awsome!!

It just takes motor and gearing...

It was an older pete all decked out with 8" miter cut stacks, not sure of the model it was raining and we were movin... there was no way I was gonna let him pass me. I was nice to get big truck approval for my MaX though. He had a 53' on the back but no way to know if he was loaded though.

My old 379 pete would do about 80, elec. governed. Had a guy pass me once and he said his truck used to do like 120 but his company turned it down to 90 or so, it was an International I think. He would pass me on the flats but I would kill him on the hills haha. I don't think I would feel safe going faster than 80-85 in a commercial truck. Good times:D

I remember going east across Nebraska out of Wyoming where they have all of those cattle ranches, and being passed by semis hauling cattle. I would be doing 80-85, and they would go past me like I was parked. Should have seen them cattle in the trailers with the 100+ MPH air rushing around em.

Back in 1978 I had a Chevy Blazer that was nast fast but it had a top speed of 105 mph. Coming out of bishop Ca I was following a big rig and when we got out of town we both opened up. I could not pass him. I woke my buddy up next to me and see look at this shit. he says pass him. I says, I can't. I followed his as for 100 miles running 80-over 100 and never tried to pass him as I couldn't. At one time he waved his arm for me to pass him while he was doing about 105 and I busted up laughing. I had nothing left. THAT was a truck I'll never forget.:thumb::D
