The most important mod is the top secret air filter hold down.

So that is what I'm doing wrong!

My truck weighed 7640 per cat scale before removing the following:

2nd Battery 35lbs
Aux tank 145 lbs
Tailgate 50lbs
Spare tire 75lbs
Rear seat 100lbs (I expected this to weigh more)

405 total

Aux tank had about 20 gal in it and stock tank was full when it was weighed. I emptied the aux tank and ran about 3/8-1/2 stock tank at the track. That cut another 220lbs off the scale ticket.

That nets me at 7015lbs

I got my ccsb LMM down to 6400 ish. Pretty easy to get down there. It is free "horsepower" and def worth doing if you keep racing.
