They need something so there are more side by side races. Broken by rounds is not good for the fans. They need to make them go more than a few rounds. I slowed mine down for just that reason. I tired of working on it all the time, It never stops when you try to go fast. To me (jmo) racing is not going fast 3 times a year! When I race I like to run 10 to 15 passes a day. That's fun. More seat time. It's ether hero or zero. I guess I be a zero with a stack of time:rofl: slips. Jeff

im with Ken as well. let the PS guys push their trucks as hard as they want. if you dont want to push your truck that hard either dont or move to a diff class.. seems pretty simple.

i will never push my truck to its limits. at least not for a while :D

I agree with the guys about letting PS continue on with no index. I remember a few years back when dhra went to a 10.5 index, they didn't draw much for trucks with that & it started the outlaw races.

I don't disagree at all Jeff. We've broke about everything you can break on Max'd Out and more than once this past year. About broke both my spirit and pocket book. It is a kick to see the big time PS trucks going full out...that 8 second pass is right there.:D I'd like to see that option continue. The superstreet class turned out to be a great class this past year. Not sure what the index should be for that class. 10.4 doesn't sound too bad. That's in excess of 130mph and would provide some very fun racing to watch.

that pretty much says how I feel about it. superstreet has become a pretty wild class and might do well as an index class, but I think indexing pro street would stiffle the advance of quite a bit of the innovation that has been coming out of that class. from what I see there isn't enough innovation coming from top diesel due to not enough guys with pockets deep enough to build trucks for that class.

Any thoughts on Greg's suggestion of index for PS & SS
ET Bracket - Dial-in bracket
Quick Diesel - 11.90 Index
SuperStreet - 10.40 Index
ProStreet - 8.90 Index
TopDiesel - All Tube Chassis' no limit

Anything with the word "PRO" in front of it shouldn't have an index IMO.
The rest of the index's I like though!

I think a good way to keep the records in the game would maybe be to have an open class of some sort for everyone to run in if they want to try and set records for their respective classes. One rule should be that they need to meet safety requirements for the speed/ET they are running and another should be that they need to qualify that day in one of the other classes and that's the class that they try to break the record for. Then if 2 or 3 SS trucks or a handful of QD trucks that get eliminated early want to try and beat the record for their class they can.
